Myanmar Beaches
Although Myanmar's coastline is the longest in mainland Southeast Asia, only the Ayeyarwady Division and Rakhaing State sections stretching from the Ayeyarwady River Derlta northwest to Sittwe are so far commonly visited by foreigners. Because of the lengthy travel times involved, stays of at least one night are necessary at most seaside areas in Myanmar. Most suitable for overnight visits are Ngapali, Chaungtha, Khan thaya and letkhokkon for your Myanmar vocation. Between these points you'll find plenty of other beaches in Myanmar, but few facilities and no "licensed-for-foreigners" Myanmar accommodation. During the rainy season from June to November, many of the Myanmar roads in these areas may be washed out and impassable. Only Ngapali is accessible by air. Ngapali is the most attractive beach of the four; the closer you get to the delta, the muddier the beaches become letkhokkon being the muddiest for your Myanmar vocation Yangon. The beaches and islands south of Mawlamying(moulmein), off peninsular Myanmar, have incredible recreational potential and are just beginning to open up. The drawback so far is that there is virtually no Myanmar accommodation available at any of the beaches along the Myeik Peninsular or Myeik Archipelago. One of the easiest ways to see these areas is on a liveaboard Myanmar cruise, all of which are based in Phuket, Thailand.

Natural Highlights
The Mon States's Kyaiktiyo Paya the famous, stupa-topped gilded boulder perched on a mountain cliff-fairly assessable these days and is a favourite among visitors interested in Myanmar's syncretic, animistic Buddhism. Mt popa, "the home of the nat" (spirits) near Bagan, holds a similar lure although the overall atmosphere runs far behind that at kyaiktiyo. The old Mon capital of Bag (pegu) with the3 second-largest reclining Buddha in Myanmar country and a highly revered stupa makes an easy day trip from Yangon or a stopover on the way to Kyaiktiyo. Inle, in Shan State, offers a nice variety of old Shan Myanmar temples, boat tripping and relaxed evenings with nothing much to do except walking to the edge of town on Myanmar vocation for a little stargazing before bed.

If you want to get a little more off the beaten track in the Shan State in Myanmar, skip Inle and spend a few days in and around Hsipaw, a charming centre for Myanmar Shan culture, with a side trip to the Shan/Chinese market town of Lashio in Myanmar. Myanmar road travel is the most efficient way to reach Hsipaw and Lashio, but Myanmar railroad bridge buffs may want to sacrifice travel time to ride the rails cross the historic Gokteik Viaduct in Myanmar. On the way out of Mandalay, a stopover in the quirky former "hill station" of Pyin U Lwin is worthwhile. If the road from Lashio south to Loilem, then west to Taungyi, ever opens up to Myanmar foreign visitors, one could make a very interesting and efficient loop from Mandalay to Lashio, then to Inle and Back to the centre via kalaw and pindaya four Myanmar vocation with our Myanmar travel guide agency www.guideformyanmar.com.
